Marketing Assistant – Public Relations
To strengthen our marketing team and build growing presence in Korea, we are looking for a Marketing Assistant who are eager to stay connected to scientific research and academic publishing services.
Tasks & Responsibilities
· Market Research: Conducting preliminary research on market trends, competitor landscapes, and industry challenges to inform;
· Support reactive PR efforts, ensuring timely and authoritative responses to media inquiries and industry developments;
· Support to build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers across publishing, science, academia, and education
· Support Developing Materials: press releases, op-eds, positions statements, and spokesperson talking points;
· Stakeholder Engagement: Assisting team and line manager to maintain communications, cultivating and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders, including scholars, academic societies and institutions;
· Marketing Activity Coordination: Supporting to coordinate promotional marketing activities such as academic conferences, seminars at prominent universities and institutions in Korea;
· Assist team at select academic conferences and seminars such as booth setup and on-site operations;
· Assist the line manager (marketing specialist and marketing manager) and superiors in implementing new marketing initiatives or projects;
· Support to address inquiries related to all services offered by office in Korea;
· Provide administrative support in handling databases and logistics involved in stakeholders outreach and promotional activities.
Requirements
· A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related business discipline (Master degree preferred);
· 1–2 years of relevant experience in marketing, PR (agency, or in-house), or media relations;
· Must have the Korea citizen, right to work and live in Republic of Korea;
· Excellent communication and written skills in both Korean and English;
· Ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic, international setting;
· Organizational and time management capabilities;
· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
